Two kinds of comparison: scaffold software side by side, with each vendor's facts sourced and dated, and scaffold systems computed on the same house by ScaFix's engine.

What do the comparisons compare?

The software comparisons put ScaFix next to Scaffcalc, Layher LayPLAN, PERI QuickSolve and Avontus Designer, plus an overview of twelve tools, with facts from each vendor's own pages and the date they were read. The system comparisons build the same example house in two systems and compare bays, decks and the whole parts list from ScaFix's engine.

Questions and answers

Are the software comparisons independent?

They are written by ScaFix, so we keep to facts each vendor publishes, with the source and the date it was read, and we say where the other tool is stronger.

How are the systems compared?

ScaFix's engine builds the same example house in both systems and counts bays, decks and every part, so the difference comes from the systems alone.
