How many does a scaffold need?
A diagonal member that stiffens the scaffold along the wall so it does not sway. On ScaFix's example house (11.4 m × 5.3 m), the app's group “Diagonals” has 16 pieces with Layher Blitz, 8 with Layher Allround and 8 with PERI UP. A straight 12.28 × 6 m wall takes 4 with Layher Blitz.
Brace in three systems
The example house scaffolded all round and three straight walls, each computed by ScaFix's engine with the system's own bay length and depth. The counts are the app's part group, which can also hold related parts (for example legs or base plates with the base jacks).
| System | Example house | 6.14 × 4 m | 12.28 × 6 m | 30.7 × 12 m |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Layher Blitz | 16 | 2 | 4 | 15 |
| Layher Allround | 8 | 1 | 2 | 10 |
| PERI UP | 8 | 1 | 2 | 10 |
